Mud Pies is just for kids to join.  They will get a free monthly newsletter in the mail with word games, pictures to color and fun ideas for their garden or planter pot.  We will have a dedicated corner for Mud Pies edged by our herb garden with a silly scarecrow.  There will also be fun flowers and butterfly bushes to entertain them as they watch the bees and butterflies.

We will have a monthly activity just for them beginning with “Make Mom’s Day”. A Saturday morning dedicated to helping them make a present for Mother’s Day which will include a clay pot that they can decorate & paint, then pick the perfect annual to plant in it.

June’s activity will be decorating a cane fishing pole with feathers, paint and anything else that we can find that looks good.  It’s Marianne’s birthday we’ll have cake for all.

In July we’ll be pressing flowers and turning them into little pictures to take home and hang on their wall or give as a gift.

August is just too hot for much of anything, but in September we’ll be planting herbs to keep on the window sill to use all winter long.

October will be the 1st Annual Pumpkin Carving contest for all ages.

November will be the final herb harvest to use for the Thanksgiving meal or press into a frame to keep the flower press picture company.  It’s Cooper’s birthday so we’ll have more cake for all.

December will be all about decorations and we’ll make that perfect ornament to keep forever.

The fee for the Saturday activity will only be $5.00, which will come close enough to covering our cost.
